The Ci t y of San Marcos will begin assessing the objectives of this plan for

implementation immediately following adoption

by City Council. All of the objectives developed

by the Citizens Advisory and Steering Committees

are considered achievable and will be pursued.

Some of the objectives were specifically

mentioned to begin in 2013 such as updating

the Land Development Code, Neighborhood

Character Studies, incorporating the plan in the

Capital Improvement Plan project selection and

the Transportation Plan update. Partnerships and

collaborations should also begin in 2013. Other

planning efforts and implementation of policies

should begin within the first five years of plan

adoption.
