Section 7.3.4.8 Marquee Sign

Description A vertical sign that is located either along the building facade where it projects perpendicular to the facade; or at the corner of the building where it projects at a 45 degree angle. Marquee signs are a structural feature of a building that provides both cover to pedestrians and sign space. These signs may extend beyond the parapet of the building where it projects at a 45 degree angle, but may also terminate below the cornice or eave. Marquee signs often have channel lettering integrated on top of an awning and are used in conjunction with removable or painted lettering. Dimensions ND-4, CD-4 N-CM, CD-5, CD-5D Quantity (max) Not Permitted 1 per Principal Frontage Width / Height -- max 20 ft./ max 6 ft. Depth / Projection -- min 4 ft, max 10 ft Clearance -- min 10 ft clear above the sidewalk
