Natural Drainage: the characteristics of surface Drainage where no disturbance of natural features, soils, or vegetation has occurred. 153. Parkland Benefit Area: the area that a specific Parkland, based on its size, location, and facilities, is intended to serve. 165. Parking Area: an off-street, ground-level open area within a Lot for parking vehicles as an Accessory Use incidental to a Principal Use of the Lot or Principal Building on the Lot. Not synonymous with Parking Lot. 166. Parking Lot: an off-street, ground-level open area within a Lot for parking vehicles as a Principal Use. Not synonymous with Parking Area. 167. Parking Structure: a Structure containing one or more Stories of parking above grade.

168. Passage: a pedestrian connector, open or roofed, that

passes between Buildings to provide shortcuts through long Blocks and/or connect rear parking accommodations to Frontages. Sometimes referred to as a Cross-Block Passage.

169. Paved Area: any paved ground surface area, excepting Public Right-of-Way, used for the purpose of driving, parking, storing or displaying of vehicles, boats, trailers or Mobile Homes, including new and used car lots and other open lot uses. Parking Structures, covered drive-in Parking Areas or Parking Lots to the drip line of the covering, and/or Garages shall not be considered as Paved Areas. 170. Pavement Width: the portion of a Thoroughfare available for vehicular traffic and Parking (and when applicable, bicycle traffic); where curbs are laid, it is the portion between the face of curbs. 171. Placement: the act of locating, or the location of, a Building on its Lot.
