The Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan was adopted in May 2019 and included evaluating and understanding the existing conditions and developing appropriate goals for the parks and recreation system; identifying local resources and opportunities; analyzing needs based on population growth and community input; developing recommendations and priorities; and identifying potential implementation strategies. · Park Facility Needs · Current deficiencies in the park system include picnic pavilions. Picnic facilities, and splash pads. · Cape’s Dam is in poor condition and needs to be repaired or removed. · An appropriate balance of access and protection of the river needs to be reassessed
